This site is happily using Feed2JS.org's super Rss content generator Service, even though briefly, in September 2020, it was not working any more. Their service is therefore not infallible. After a quick search I realised that relying on a third-party API to fetch and parse my desired RSS feeds into HTML was not the professional way to go. I read this short and sweet article: Matt Southern's article from August 2020 which explains why it's bad form to rely on others for essential content. So now, I want to get to grips with parsing an RSS feed myself. I am sure it can be done, but it must wait until I set time aside to tackle it. This event is making me reassess all of my code. I am thinking of self-hosting the JQuery code libraries I use too.
