VOCABULARY: clock, board, lamp, window, door, chair, cupboard, carpet, desk, bin.
STRUCTURES: What colour is the (door)? It's (brown).

1.2 Prepositions

VOCABULARY: on, under, in, behind, in front of.
STRUCTURES: Where's (the blue bin)? It's (under the desk).
FUNCTION: Understanding location(1)

Unit Two

2.1 Feelings

VOCABULARY: Feelings: disgusted, sad, scared, angry, surprised, happy.
STRUCTURES: I'm (happy). Are you (happy)? Yes, I am. No, I'm not.
FUNCTION: Talking about feelings.

2.2 Physical emotions

VOCABULARY: hungry, thirsty, hot, cold.
STRUCTURES: How are you today? I'm (hot).
FUNCTION: Talking about physical emotions.

Unit Three

3.1 The body

VOCABULARY: mouth, hands, eyes, ears, nose, tummy, arms, hair, legs, feet.
STRUCTURES: I've got (long dark hair). Have you got a big (tummy)? Yes, I have. No, I haven't.
FUNCTION: Identifying parts of the body.

3.2 Describing body parts

VOCABULARY: long, short, blond, dark.
STRUCTURES: I've got (long dark hair). Have you got (brown hair)? Yes, I have. No, I haven't.
FUNCTION: Describing appearances(1).

Unit Four

4.1 Animals

VOCABULARY: horse, cow, bird, hen, sheep, pig, swan, duck, duckling, frog.
STRUCTURES: It's a (frog).
FUNCTION: Recognise and use animal names.

4.2 Action verbs

VOCABULARY: run, jump, swim, fly.
STRUCTURES: I can (jump) but I can't (run). Can you (jump)? Yes, I can. No, I can't.
FUNCTION: Asking and answering about abilities.

Unit Five

5.1 Food and drink

VOCABULARY: carrots, cheese, tea, meat, pasta, biscuits, chicken, fish, water, lettuce.
STRUCTURES: I like (meat). Do you like (fish)? Yes, I do. No, I don't. I like it. I don't like it. I love (pasta).
FUNCTION: Identifying food items.
FUNCTION: Expressing preferences.

5.2 Describing food

VOCABULARY: sweet, disgusting, tasty, savoury.
STRUCTURES: It's (sweet).
FUNCTION: Asking and answering about food.

Unit Six

6.1 Numbers 11-20

VOCABULARY: eleven, twelve etc. up to twenty.
STRUCTURES: How many (legs)?
FUNCTION: Counting / counting items in a picture.

Unit 1.4 Animals

FUNCTION: Recognise animals from the farm, woods and the wild, name and spell them correctly

Unit 2.3 How old are you?

FUNCTION: Asking about and giving age of self and family members (using invented families)

Unit 2.4 Verb To Be - Positive, Negative and Interrogative Forms

FUNCTION: Understand related concepts and learn to order words correctly for the three forms above (insertion of "not", verb-subject inversion for questions)
FUNCTION: Transforming affermative statements into negative and question forms, orally and in written form
FUNCTION: Say what you can do. What can you do? I can swim.

Unit 3.3 Personal Pronouns - I, He, She, It

FUNCTION: Say what he/she/it can do using pictures as a starting point

Unit 3.4 Musical Instruments

FUNCTION: Expand can and can't to ability to play various musical instruments. I can hear the piano.
FUNCTION: Say what he/she/it can't do using pictures as a starting point. e.g. A bird can sing but it can't dance.

Unit 4.3 Has Got

FUNCTION: Talking about possessions, e.g. he's got a ball.
FUNCTION: Say what body parts animals have got e.g. A frog has got four legs.

Unit 4.4 Number 11- 20 (Basic Maths)

FUNCTION: Recognise, pronounce and spell numbers up to 20

Unit 6.3 Describing what someone is wearing

FUNCTION: Confidently describing what someone is wearing, working with pictures and classmates.
